WP Engine CEO Heather Brunner will interview Under Armour Inc. Founder, Chairman, and CEO Kevin Plank about digital innovation next Thursday during the Austin Technology Council (ATC) CEO Summit.

The ATC CEO Summit (Thursday, May 28 at Brazos Hall in downtown Austin) brings together CEOs from tech and life sciences companies to collaborate on the annual vision for the tech industry, share best practices, and connect with colleagues who face similar challenges and opportunities in growing their companies.

Brunner will host the Closing Panel at 5 p.m., during which she’ll sit down with Plank to discuss how Under Armour became the world’s largest digital health and fitness community, challenges he encountered along the way, the future of connected fitness and digital innovation, and Under Armour’s new downtown Austin-based Connected Fitness digital headquarters.

The Under Armour Connected Fitness office is more than 35,000 square feet, and occupies the second floor of the adjacent building to the City of Austin Power Plant. The five acres surrounding the office are being transformed into a mixed-use urban oasis featuring 1.5 acres of public open space and a plaza; a 30-story residential tower and 33,000 square feet of retail space. It is the first Under Armour office in Texas, and the only office in the brand’s history solely dedicated to digital innovation.

Plank founded Under Armour in 1996 with the idea for an athletic shirt that provided compression and wicked perspiration off of your skin rather than absorbing it. Under Armour has since grown into a leading apparel and technology company and a digital innovation and connected fitness powerhouse with annual revenue exceeding $3 billion. Under Armour acquired MapMyFitness in 2013, and more recently added Endomondo and MyFitnessPal to its family, growing its digital community to more than 120 million unique members worldwide.

Register now for the ATC CEO Summit, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. CDT Thursday, May 28 at Brazos Hall, 204 East 4th St., Austin, Texas.
