Since it was launched in 2009, the Genesis Framework has become a favorite solution among digital agencies that build websites with WordPress.

Genesis offers a straightforward, programmatic approach to theme-building, and agencies around the world have found success putting it to use for their various client projects.

Remkus de Vries, who together with his wife Karin runs digital agency Buro Kreas, has been an advocate of Genesis since its release more than a decade ago.

“Since Genesis was released, I’ve only built one site that didn’t use it,” de Vries says. “I’m a huge proponent of the framework and the approach it applies to theme building. “

Moreover, de Vries insists that his team use Genesis for their projects as well, regardless of the projects’ size or scope.

“Something I have always done, is ask every developer on my team to try using Genesis, even if they’ve never used it before,” he says. “Without fail, they all pick it up within hours.”
