Women@Austin logoLast night, our team was in full force supporting the launch of an exciting new entrepreneurial forum called Women@Austin.

I felt honored to be a panelist at the sold out launch event—“2014: Be Bold”, which was held at the Capital Factory.

Women@Austin was conceived by Jan Ryan, a successful entrepreneur many times over (Lithium acquired Jan’s company Social Dynamx in 2012), who was inspired to bolster women’s entrepreneurial success in Austin.

Women@Austin aims to increase women’s success in the startup ecosystem by enabling:

  • a forum for building and strengthening relationships
  • the early vetting of ideas
  • access to capital to improve success rates
  • the development of financial and leadership skills.

If you missed out this time, make sure you like our Facebook page so you can get in early for next quarter’s event.

Here at WP Engine we are committed to supporting diversity and entrepreneurship in our local startup community. We congratulate Jan’s vision and looking forward to fully supporting Women@Austin’s mission, including through my role as a Steering Committee member.

More entrepreneurial success for women means more jobs and opportunities to positively impact Austin! Carpe diem!
