In this feature, we\u2019ll introduce you to Kimberley Molloy, a culture and engagement team lead based in Limerick, Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Say hello to Kimberley!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Meet Kimberley Molloy, the culture and engagement team lead for WP Engine\u2019s global locations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based in Limerick, Kimberley is the person responsible for tracking the pulse of our workplace culture by creating meaningful events, fostering connections, and ensuring that WP Engine employees around the world feel supported and valued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From managing regional town halls to organizing community give-back initiatives to running our two-day onboarding program for new hires in EMEA, Kimberley\u2019s efforts make a lasting impact that helps WP Engine retain top talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think what I do contributes to the company\u2019s success by making work better and easier for our employees,\u201d Kimberley explains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen people feel connected and appreciated, they\u2019re more inspired to do their best work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When she\u2019s not at work, you can find Kimberley at her CrossFit gym, headed to a horror movie, or tucking into a meal and a pint of Guinness in one of Limerick\u2019s many exceptional restaurants. (She highly recommends The Buttery<\/a>\u2019s buffalo chicken burger.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kimberley\u2019s career journey<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Kimberley\u2019s WP Engine journey began in technical support nearly seven years ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI had heard of this startup coming to Limerick, and everyone who joined couldn\u2019t stop raving about the company,\u201d Kimberley recalls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI thought, \u2018I want in,\u2019 and here I am almost seven years later!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part of the reason she\u2019s still with WP Engine after seven years is due to the support she received from her own managers. When she expressed an interest in moving to a different department, the company encouraged and celebrated her transition into a role that aligned with her passions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the culture and engagement team lead, Kimberley now plays a key role in driving initiatives that bring people together and elevate the employee experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether it\u2019s through small moments, like hosting weekly coffee mornings, or larger programs, like organizing the company\u2019s quarterly culture awards, Kimberley\u2019s work highlights the essence of WP Engine\u2019s culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s all about thoughtfulness,\u201d Kimberley says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe want people to feel like they\u2019re part of something special, whether it\u2019s their first day here or their thousandth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Words of wisdom: Take a break<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One lesson Kimberley has learned both in her own career and in her work as a people motivator is the importance of self-care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen things get overwhelming, it\u2019s important to prioritize looking after yourself,\u201d Kimberley says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTake a walk, book a day off, call a friend for a chat. No one will commend you for pushing through burnout\u2014they probably won\u2019t even notice. The only person who feels the effects is you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her advice for aspiring culture and engagement professionals is equally pragmatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHave fun with it! You\u2019ll make mistakes and get things wrong, but those are the moments where you\u2019ll learn the most.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At WP Engine, culture isn\u2019t just a buzzword\u2014it\u2019s a collective effort led by passionate individuals like Kimberley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked what she loves most about her role, Kimberley doesn\u2019t hesitate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt might sound clich\u00e9, but it\u2019s the people,\u201d she says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe amazing culture we have at WP Engine exists because of every person here. Even on the busiest or toughest days, there\u2019s always someone to make you laugh or brighten your day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
