What is Color Code? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Color Code was founded by Ben Dunkle, Ron Brennan, and Tim Bouchard: three longtime local organizers who envisioned a more inclusive and forward-thinking conference experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After years of success hosting local events, the trio launched Color Code as an independent, self-funded conference. Their mission? To create marquee gatherings that uplift and empower creatives across platforms with real-world value and thoughtful, future-ready content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Color Code was created with a unique operational model that reinvests in the community by funding future events, speaker stipends, and expansion into new cities. This resulted in a conference experience that\u2019s high in energy, low on pretense, and deeply committed to the people who power the open web.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WP Engine was on-site at Color Code 2025, engaging with attendees, handing out exclusive swag, and sparking meaningful conversations about the future of online creativity and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our team enjoyed connecting with creatives, developers, and digital thinkers and discussing how WP Engine can support their work on WordPress, whether it\u2019s designing bold user experiences or optimizing performance behind the scenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schedule of events<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The conference offered three specialized talk tracks. The Digital track focused on content just for UI design and development professionals; the Creative track shared content related to design and marketing; and the Flex track offered a mix of both, with content relevant to design, development, and marketing disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No matter which track you chose, the day ended with a session led by two of WP Engine\u2019s own!\u00a0Natalie Munger and Rebecca Wood-Spagnoli<\/a> explored Nielsen\u2019s Top 10 Heuristics and how Heuristic Evaluations help refine designs by focusing on fundamentals and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
