Verifying your WordPress site with Pinterest also helps you gain insight into your marketing efforts. It lets you learn more about your visitors through Pinterest analytics and helps you monetize your account by participating in the Pinterest ad programs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But for all that to happen, you will first have to verify your WordPress website with Pinterest. The following will provide you with the step-by-step instructions so you can get started with your Pinterest marketing strategy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Upgrade Your Pinterest Account to Business Account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To upgrade your Pinterest account, you first need to log in to your profile and click on the drop-down arrow at the top right corner of your screen. You\u2019ll see several options here. Click on the \u2018Unlock business tools\u2019<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pinterest\u2019s business account offers several amazing options to improve your marketing efforts. You will see all of these options on your screen<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now click on the \u2018Switch to business\u2019<\/strong> tab. Pinterest will then ask you to build a profile by entering your details. Go ahead and fill them out. Once you\u2019re done, click on the \u2018Next\u2019<\/strong> button to proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the next step, Pinterest will need you to describe your business. Here you can select the industry that best describes what you do. Choose the best option from the drop-down menu provided. Once that is done, select your goals. You can choose up to 3 different goals based on what you want Pinterest to help you with. Click on the \u2018Next\u2019<\/strong> button to proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the next step, you\u2019ll select one from the given options that best describes your business. It also asks you if you\u2019re interested in running ads on your Pinterest account. Select \u2018yes<\/strong>\u2019 or \u2018no<\/strong>\u2019 depending on your requirement and click \u2018Next.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pinterest will then show you how to get started with your business account. If you already know how to do it, click on the cross button on the top right side of your screen and move on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: Claim Your Pinterest Business Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this step, you\u2019ll claim your Pinterest business page. To do that, go to your Pinterest hub page. Here you\u2019ll see an option called \u2018Claim your domain.\u2019 <\/strong>Below that, you\u2019ll see a \u2018Claim domain\u2019<\/strong> button. Click on it. This will take you to the claim settings page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A popup window will appear. Here, you\u2019ll see three different options you can use to claim your WordPress website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, copy the HTML tag and paste it into the header section of your WordPress website. Although you can opt for the other options too, using the HTML tags is generally the easiest option. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Add HTML Tag in your WordPress Website\u2019s Header<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To add the HTML tag to your website\u2019s header, you first have to install<\/a> the All in One SEO (AIOSEO)<\/strong> plugin on your WordPress website. It is one of the best SEO plugins, and it lets you optimize your website for search engines without hiring an expert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you add the plugin to your site, go to All in One SEO<\/strong><\/a> \u00bb General Settings<\/strong> and then click the \u2018Webmaster Tools<\/strong>\u2019 tab from the top menu. You\u2019ll see the following page on your screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now click on the \u2018Pinterest Site Verification\u2019<\/strong> option. This will show you a new field where you can paste the HTML code you copied earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scroll down your screen and click on Save changes<\/strong>, and you\u2019re done! It can take up to 24 hours for Pinterest to verify your account.
