SAFEbuilt: Redefining Service

SAFEBuilt is a professional services organization which partners with local communities to help them achieve their development, planning and compliance goals. This PE-backed firm is building a national organization from local agencies providing similar services. As they are creating an entirely new market, they needed help in defining their Brand, articulating their messages and bringing it to life on their website. SmallTalk stepped in to help build their Brand and Website.

Work hand-in-hand with their leadership team, we helped define their messaging strategy and brought this to life through a rich visual design which emphasized both their accomplishments in transforming community as well as their gritty no-nonsense team culture. We built a component-based user-experience in a scalable WordPress environment integrated with Pardot to support their rebrand and their long-term marketing efforts.

The new website will be launching in Q1 2019 and will be a key component in their national branding, business development and M&A strategies.

Zendrive: Improving Driver Safety

Zendrive’s mission is to make roads safer. Zendrive provides an SDK which allows app developers to enable features which can improve driving habits and safety. Their challenge is to enlist app developers, mobile phone makers, fleet managers, and insurers in their mission. Zendrive asked SmallTalk to climb aboard and help drive this mission home.

Building on their Brand and Messaging architecture, we developed a rich storytelling platform and user-experience which helps simplify a complex message. The visual design supports the Brand message of driving safety through rich supportive imagery. We built a component-based user-experience in a scalable WordPress environment integrated with their Marketing Automation and Chat tools to support their rebrand and their long-term marketing efforts.


The new website will be launching in Q1 2019 and will be a key component in their national Brand roll-out and corporate development initiatives.

Second Measure: Data is Beautiful, a Brand to Match

Second Measure closed its Series B round and was ready to unveil their valuable product and insights on the world stage. SmallTalk partnered with the talented Creative team at Airlift to take the Second Measure brand to the next level.

We rolled up our sleeves and created a brand system based leveraging an evolution on the logo and mark. We concurrently designed a tightly focused website which delivered the brand story and value proposition in an easy to navigate website. In addition to the corporate pages we also worked with Second Measure to come up with Data Points, a brand blog and editorial site that pairs well with company content yet maintains its own voice. SmallTalk built this all in a new modern component-based CMS architecture allowing Second Measure to easily manage and grow the website to meet evolving marketing needs.


The new Second Measure website was launched in conjunction with the announced major funding round for the company, and has quickly become the focus of the Second Measure marketing efforts. The new website is driving brand and marketing cohesion across all their Sales channels.
