At WP Engine, we\u2019re dedicated to expanding our global business and bringing to market cutting-edge, innovative solutions to power our customers\u2019 brands through WordPress technology.<\/p>\n

Today, we\u2019ve secured an additional $23 million in funding led by North Bridge Growth Equity, which is doubling down on its investment in WP Engine to fuel our technology leadership and continued growth.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re extremely proud and humbled by North Bridge\u2019s faith in our team and in our ability to make a difference. Our most valuable resource at WP Engine is our people. It is our team that made this investment possible. Today, that team comprises just over 250 awesome individuals, and we will exceed 300 very soon. We will use a portion of this funding to create meaningful and fulfilling jobs with WP Engine as we strive to double our business from 2014 into this year.<\/p>\n

A number of those positions will focus on innovation – accelerating the creation of products and technologies we\u2019re releasing to the market. At our heart, WP Engine is a technology company, and innovation is key to our strategy. With this funding, we can advance our product portfolio to provide our customers the best, most secure managed hosting experience for WordPress. In the past year, we launched a host of cutting-edge new products, including Mercury HHVM<\/a> and the GeoIP plugin<\/a>, and we have more on the launch pad that we are eager to share in the coming weeks and months. This funding will help us get them to market faster.<\/p>\n

We now serve customers in 128 countries. This investment will also help us accelerate our global expansion and launch in new markets, like we did earlier this year with the opening of our London office<\/a> to better serve our customers in Europe.<\/p>\n

Delivering excellent, caring, world-class customer experience drives us. Our support team already receives high praise (we recently earned a Stevie Award for customer service<\/a>), and as the number of sites we manage surpasses 300,000, we must continue to invest in delighting our customers. Our customers inspire us to volunteer our best every day.<\/p>\n
