This was a wonderful project that is sure to help a lot of families. Dr. Dowdy was looking to build a video-based membership platform for people struggling with Behavioral Support issues.

We drafted a fully-custom design from scratch using Adobe XD, and after getting approval from Dr. Dowdy, we implemented the design on WordPress.

Elementor was used to lay out all the design elements around the website, so there is no particular "theme" dependency.

We created custom "templates" in Elementor for the video elements, so that Dr. Dowdy or his staff could simply create a new "Video" using the WordPress back-end. All the design elements and layouts are generated on the fly when each video is published. This means that videos automatically appear in their respective sections inside the "Library" and are shown in a visually appealing way to the user.

Videos themselves are hosted on Vimeo and linked from the WordPress custom post type, to avoid strain on the server.

Payments and order functionality are handled by WooCommerce and processed by Braintree, maintaining a safe and secure transaction environment. The whole site is hosted under HTTPS with an SSL certificate and on a robust server with automatic daily backups. Media (apart from videos) are hosted on a global CDN for improved speed and efficiency.

Access control is handled automatically by the platform, giving access to customers immediately as they purchase and removing access if they ever decide to cancel. Customers are also added to a members-only e-mail list to stay in the loop about upcoming video webinars that occur on an on-going basis.

For this project, our client wanted to create a full-featured Social Network for Outdoorsmen and Women.

The website supports a completely private (members only) area for people to share their adventures and outdoor activities, including:

- A "News Feed" that supports text, pictures, videos and GIFs

- Private and public Groups that people can create and join

- Friends capabilities and public/private profiles

- A "Trip Journal" that allows users to keep track of their outings (including GPS coordinates, pictures, and harvests)

- A "Spot Locator" that allows users to share their favorite or memorable spots with others (including GPS coordinates)
