National League of Cities

NLC is the voice of cities, towns and villages across America with a bold mission to strengthen local leadership, influence federal policy and drive innovative solutions. They came to WDG looking for help untangling a complex content structure, creating meaningful connection points between multiple digital products, and migrating content from multiple sources into a single flagship website.

Our strategy team worked closely with multiple stakeholders from NLC to prioritize features that laddered up to the association’s overall goals of migrating to WordPress, fold in their blog, and reposition their content to better serve the needs of their users.

The Good Food Institute

Working with the Good Food Institute leadership team, we recommended and designed a digital experience that showcased a deep-hued, diverse color palette that pays homage to nature. We shared a strategic brief on content and user experience that focused on technology and visual appeal. The design is focused and sharp to help remove distractions and be universally accessible and understood, whether on mobile or desktop.

To extend the life of the website, we designed and developed a flexible design system that considered all current and future design elements allowing GFI’s marketing team to launch landing pages, custom sections, and conversion based mini-sites quickly.

National Fish and Wildlife Foundation

We introduced a new UI design that streamlined the user experience and repositioned NFWF’s resources, making content such as their Grants Library and Trending Topics news page more easily accessible for their key audiences. On the admin side, the website implementation on a CMS improved the content production experience for NFWF’s team.

Powered by the Mapbox API, their Where We Work map showcases geocoded locations and details of all NFWF’s projects, filtered by the organization, program, state and year — illustrating the international reach of their conservation efforts.
