AUSTIN, Texas — March 31, 2017 WP Engine, the world’s leading WordPress digital experience platform, today announced the appointment of Annette Alexander to the company’s new role of Chief People Officer. Annette will lead all strategic vision and oversight for human resources and company culture across the Employee Experience, Learning & Development, Recruiting and IT/Facilities teams worldwide. The establishment of the role comes as WP Engine continues its expansion opening an office in Limerick, Ireland last September and growing its employee base by almost 25 percent last year and looks to further build on its award-winning culture. She joins the executive team at WP Engine’s headquarters in Austin, Texas.

Annette is an accomplished human resources executive with over 15 years of experience in finding and cultivating talent for companies in the ecommerce, financial services, industrial engineering, and technology industries. During her career, she has cultivated an impressive track record of successfully building and leading global HR teams.

Prior to WP Engine, Annette was Vice President of Human Resources at RetailMeNot in Austin where she led all human resources activities for the ecommerce company. Prior to RetailMeNot, she held senior leadership positions in Europe and the U.K. for global companies such as PayPal, Danaher, Barclays and at Dell, where she was instrumental in launching the company’s office in Scotland.
