Join WP Engine at WordCamp Europe
WordCamp Europe kicks off next week, and the three-day conference, which has moved online, will be a wonderful opportunity for the European WordPress community and beyond—everyone from casual WordPress users to Core developers—to discuss all things WordPress, share ideas, and network with one another.
Now in its eighth year, the conference offers a wide range of engaging content across the three-day event. This includes sessions covering WordPress development, business, content, community, and much more. Make sure and register today—you can also view the full schedule here, which includes everything from keynote speakers to breakout sessions.
As in years past, WP Engine is a proud sponsor of WordCamp Europe. As part of that sponsorship, WordPress community leaders David Vogelpohl and Anthony Burchell of WP Engine will present a “Sponsor Session” entitled Open Future: How WP Engine & Genesis are preparing for “Full Site Editing” in WordPress Core.
In the session, which will be held on Friday, June 5th at 1:35 pm UTC (8:35 am CDT), David and Anthony will discuss the full site editing capabilities that are coming to WordPress and what WP Engine is doing to support the entire WordPress community win in a block-first future.
For those unaware, “full site editing” refers to phase 2 of Gutenberg, in which the block editor is used to power content in the header, sidebar, and footer of a page or post. These amazing new super-powers for the block editor will also come with a brand new way of building WordPress themes.
If you’re not familiar with full site editing and how you might adopt it once it’s released in late 2020, this is a must-attend session! In order to get up to speed, David and Anthony will provide a quick overview of WP Engine, discuss what full site editing is, and provide details around how WP Engine is investing in Genesis to help anyone build better sites faster with full site editing as it’s rolled into Core.
Don’t miss your chance to learn about the future of WordPress and WP Engine. Join this session to learn more!
We’ll also be giving away a pair of Apple Airpods Pro and some awesome WP Engine branded merch to help make this feel as much like an in-person WordCamp as possible!
You can fill out the form on this page to enter in for a chance to win the Apple Airpods Pro and we’ll also have a Zoom background contest during the Sponsor Session for those interested in winning WP Engine merch. The top three people with the most creative (and WordCamp-friendly) Zoom backgrounds, chosen by David and Anthony, will be awarded the prized merchandise.
After the session, make sure and drop by WP Engine’s virtual WCEU booth as well, where you can chat with WP Engine experts directly via Zoom during the Friday and Saturday conference sessions.
Here’s to another great WordCamp Europe—we can’t wait to see you all, virtually!
