Sharpen Your WordPress Developer Skills at DE{CODE} 2021
The second annual, all-virtual developer conference kicks-off March 4th
Building on the success and positive buzz generated by last year’s DE{CODE} event, we’re excited to announce that DE{CODE} 2021 is just around the corner!
The completely virtual, developer-focused conference will take place on March 4th with 15 expert-led sessions on how to leverage WordPress for easy setups, fast builds, smooth launches, and effortless maintenance. Register here today!
DE{CODE} was born out of the idea that the best developers in the world are the ones who never stop learning. In an effort to facilitate an online space for that learning, WP Engine launched DE{CODE} 2020 just over a year ago, focused on helping developers build better sites with WordPress, both faster and more effectively.
While it was an early foray into the world of all-virtual events, DE{CODE} 2020 proved to be a massive success, attracting more than 2,500 registrants from all over the world, many of whom raved about the event’s format and content.
With that feedback in tow, and with a brand new agenda filled with session topics developers are sure to find useful, we’re excited to kick off DE{CODE} 2021 early next month.
From headless strategies and building faster with Local, to leveraging CI/CD for fast code deploys or Amazon Personalize for incredible eCommerce experiences, this year’s event will be full of great insights and information to help make the next project you build stand out.
You can check out the full speaker lineup and agenda here. To give you a better idea of what to expect during the event itself, here’s a preview of what our keynote speakers will be focusing on:
Why Headless WordPress is the Future of Digital Experiences
Jason Cohen, Founder & CTO, WP Engine
Like never before, the world demands lightning-fast content that reaches consumers where they are. Decoupled architecture lets you select the best tools to meet omnichannel challenges head-on, but that means a lot of choices: Rendering pages statically or dynamically, choosing front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue, and then choosing frameworks on top of those frameworks like Next.js or Frontity. In this session, WP Engine Founder and CTO Jason Cohen explores the options and trade-offs associated with these decisions, and how they’ll impact the sites you build.
Declutter Your Site Structure
Marieke van de Rakt, CEO, Yoast
Does your site speak Google’s “language?” Listen in as Marieke van de Rakt, CEO of Yoast, breaks down the site structure optimizations that will ensure search engines understand and surface your site to as many visitors as possible in 2021. Marieke will also explain how improving your internal linking will help you outrank your competition. As the #1 WordPress SEO plugin, Yoast has helped millions of websites rank higher in search.
Five Things That Have Made Me a Better (WordPress) Developer
Mike Little, Co-Founder of WordPress and WordPress Specialist
At 39.8% of the internet, WordPress has officially overtaken hand-coded sites as the most common type of website on the internet. As an open source platform, it isn’t about the amount one person contributes, but the amalgamation of all the small contributions of many along the way. In this session, WordPress Co-founder Mike Little will share five things that have made him a better developer and how we can all work to grow the WordPress community.
The above are just a few of the expert speakers you can expect at DE{CODE} 2021, which takes place on March 4th. Register here, and make sure to visit our site if you’d like to find out more about the event. We’re excited to see you there!
