WP Engine Receives Award For Ethics In Business & Community
This past week, several members of WP Engine’s Employee Experience team joined 600-plus individuals at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Central Texas for RecognizeGood’s 15th annual Ethics in Business & Community Awards. The ceremony aims to recognize outstanding ethical business practices to encourage the partnership between business and community in order to make Central Texas stronger.
WP Engine is honored to have received an award for ethics in business and community for mid-size businesses. Nominations were made through RecognizeGood’s community, then vetted by business students at Concordia University, followed by a final selection committee of distinguished Leadership Austin alumni. Past winners of this award have included Silicon Labs, 3M, Ronald McDonald House of Central Texas, and IBM.
Part of WP Engine’s core values is to “do the right thing.” This includes doing what’s right for the company, the customer, and being proud of each decision that’s made. In addition, WP Engine’s values revolve around giving back to the WordPress community through a number of ways that allow us to grow and thrive with one another. It is through these values that we make decisions and hold ourselves accountable.
“Ethics for us is really about alignment with our core values,” said WP Engine’s CFO April Downing. You can watch her full interview with RecognizeGood below:
