The challenge
Charity sites can sometimes struggle from a technical perspective. While precious dollars go toward life-changing work, the digital faces of impressive charitable organizations often lack the vibrancy and storytelling that drive donations and support. When Farm Africa tapped The Web Kitchen to help revitalize its online presence, the nonprofit’s legacy site was failing to accurately and succinctly demonstrate the transformational impact of its work.
Farm Africa needed a site that could translate its complex agricultural programs into a stirring narrative experience that delivers both the technical performance and emotional resonance required to appeal to potential donors.
The solution
A new brand identity, built on vibrant colors, patterns, iconography, and animation, alongside refreshed core messaging, reinvigorated Farm Africa’s online presence. The Web Kitchen helped to separate the wheat from the chaff in the narrative, zooming out to tell the story of an organization that supports and uplifts small communities across the continent through more than a dozen active programs.
The custom-built site uses an array of modular blocks and sections that can be customised to accommodate any content type. WordPressⓇ and WP Engine provide a performant foundation to support this immersive storytelling experience without sacrificing speed.

Reframing Farm Africa's story and visual identity not only earned the site a Webby Award nomination but also led to an astonishing 94% increase in donations through the website.
