Wide Eye collaborated with SEGD to transform their site into an engaging hub for members to connect with one another and draw inspiration from design.
The challenge
The Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) is a global community of designers who create experiences that inspire, awe, and connect people. The organization approached Wide Eye to create a next generation digital community allowing them to elevate and respond to the needs of their members, and connect a new CRM to the front door of their community.
The solution
Through two rounds of user research, Wide Eye quickly identified the two things that made this site and community unique. First, due to the site’s intersection between many different designer disciplines, it hasd the potential to be a place designers went to find inspiration. Second, the profoundly unique community itself is simultaneously world-class, collaborative, and humble. The new site architecture, story, and page design reinforces these unique differentiators, elevating award-worthy work, highlighting the many faces of the community, and inviting people to connect in new and novel ways. The site is integrated with GlueUp, their CRM, and supports both a logged in and logged out state of the site.
