Sam Monti

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

As the Chief Financial Officer at WP Engine, Sam Monti leads all aspects of the company's financial organization, including accounting, tax, treasury, financial reporting, and analysis.

With over three decades of experience in public and private equity, Sam has a proven track record in driving financial growth for technology companies. In the first 20 years of his career with two Fortune 500 companies, Sam held executive leadership roles ranging from international finance to software division CFO. He has led several major transactions, including the sale of Mitratech and the merger of Spredfast and Lithium Technologies.

As the CFO at Epicor, Sam led the strategic growth transformation focused on Annual Recurring Revenue built on SaaS growth. This evolution resulted in a 2.5x increase in the company’s enterprise value in just three years.

Most recently, as CEO of Crownpeak, Sam rebuilt the GTM organization establishing sustainable bookings growth. At WP Engine, he is focused on ensuring the company’s financial health and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Sam holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, a BS in accounting from Miami University, and is a CPA (inactive) and Six Sigma Black Belt. He resides in Austin with his family and enjoys watching his daughters play competitive tennis.
