OMNY

OMNY is redefining how New Yorkers pay for transportation

Reflexions is working with the MTA and Cubic Transportation Systems to design and deliver OMNY, a new contactless open payment experience for the millions of New York transit and commuter rail customers in the region.

The system will be launched in phases between 2019 and 2023. OMNY will eventually combine fare payments and mobile ticketing across subways, buses, and commuter rail.

A new payment system for the MTA

OMNY is helping to modernize the MTA's payment system and deliver a more seamless customer experience. Over the next four years, OMNY will be rolled out across all MTA transit and commuter rail services.

A unified digital customer experience

Reflexions is designing and developing key digital components of the system, including the website and payment reader, which will be installed in buses and subway turnstiles. Additionally, Reflexions is creating the user experience guidelines for the upcoming OMNY mobile app and vending machines, which are slated for release in 2019 and 2022, respectively.

Initially, the OMNY website will allow MTA riders to register for an account, view ride and transaction history, and manage account preferences. The first version of

The Shade Store

For over ten years, we’ve partnered with The Shade Store to develop an interactive e-commerce platform that gives customers the ability to customize unique window treatments including shades, blinds, and draperies.

We’ve deployed key features and functions to help the business better manage operations, reduce credit card processing fees, and meet industry standard PCI compliance requirements.

The Opportunity

With over half a century of experience and over fifty showrooms, The Shade Store offers its customers a wide variety of custom-made products made in the USA. With the unique business requirements of a custom-made product, The Shade Store needed to develop and manage a suite of web applications which include product customization features, integration with suppliers, and backend/CRM functions.

Our Approach

Reflexions implemented an e-commerce platform that integrated with the existing order fulfillment and finance platforms so that customers could design the shades of their dreams, and workrooms could process and capture orders electronically.

Real-time product visualization for fabric/color combinations.

Integration with CRM, email marketing, and analytics platforms for helping to measure and improve customer engagement.

James Beard Foundation

A dynamic digital presence to stimulate the senses

For over six years, Reflexions has supported the James Beard Foundation in its website strategy and execution. We've overseen several successful projects for JBF, including websites for the foundation and the Taste America program.

For our next course: a comprehensive new digital strategy

Reflexions deployed a social media-driven microsite to promote the Taste America program. The project featured live integration with Instagram, third-party ticketing platform Shopify, and a CMS for easy access. We helped create an engaging, intuitive, and interactive web experience for both visitors and internal staff.

The new website is served

JBF was looking to update the look and feel of their site and drive conversions for their organization membership and event ticket sales. We helped them define a content strategy, optimized the website architecture, and integrated a ticketing platform API and CRM platform to drive event and membership sales.

Exclusive JBF content like award winning chefs, DIY recipes, national restaurant finder and awards search are at the forefront of the site.

Salon.com

A modern website for a changing digital media landscape

We helped Salon Media Group, the groundbreaking internet magazine founded in 1995, launch a modern front-end web experience to improve performance, design, and ad network monetization.

The Approach

We worked alongside Salon’s in-house creative and operations teams to implement the new website’s front-end, built on ReactJS, and integrate with their backend CMS using an API and web services architecture.

The Result

A stunning, high-performance new website optimized for all devices and form factors. With tens of millions of page views per month and thousands of concurrent users, Salon's website is a modern digital media platform built on emerging web standards.
