We designed and developed a portfolio website for our client which consistently generates high quality leads as a result of first page search rankings.

The Picture Box is a portrait photography business based in East Yorkshire. Whilst offering a range of family portrait services, business owner Justine McMillan specialises in new born and baby photography. After refreshing the business corporate identity in 2017 we redesigned Justine’s website to give greater prominence to the beautiful images that have earned her the reputation she deserves.

Through rigorous application of good on-page search engine optimisation (SEO) practices we ensured that her new website quickly achieved prominent rankings for local and regional keyword searches. This has helped new customers quickly and easily find her website.

The benefits of this really paid off in 2018 when Justine decided to move away from the lucrative wedding and events market to concentrate on her passion for new born baby photography. The site’s first page rankings for searches related to new born, baby and cake smash photography have consistently generated high quality leads and enquiries helping to build a loyal and profitable customer base.

We provided WordPress consultancy and developed a custom WordPress theme to encapsulate the client’s luxury brand values and deliver lightning-fast page loading speeds.

Comitti Boats UK & Caribbean is the UK and Caribbean distributor for the last surviving manufacturer of classic wooden speedboats located on Lake Como in Italy. The company launched in 2020 with help from our client RED, a design and marketing agency based here in East Yorkshire.

Initially we acted in a consultancy role, working closely with RED’s in-house design team during the website design phase. We then took the resulting design visuals and developed a custom WordPress theme to reflect the quality and craftsmanship that underpins the Comitti brand.

The theme was built using ASpect—our in-house WordPress development framework—allowing us to quickly and easily incorporate enhancements to WordPress without resorting to a wieldy and potentially volatile cocktail of plugins. The end result was a WordPress theme that not only looks fantastic, meticulously realising the designer’s original vision, but is lightweight and robust.

We developed a simple website for Jesmond Engineering—a company specialising in complex design and structural analysis. The site was designed to be easy to maintain and update so WordPress was the natural choice. Coupled with an off-the-shelf theme based on the Genesis framework, the website has stood the test of time. The theme offers a classic design and has remained robust and reliable throughout the continuing cycle of WordPress and Genesis maintenance updates.

This website was built for a graphic design client who provided a design visual for us to work from. The client requested a simple one page website to showcase their Scottish holiday home as a rental property. We chose to build the site in WordPress with a theme based on the StudioPress Genesis framework.

By deploying a Genesis theme we were able to deliver a robust, lightweight website within a very short timeframe. In order to realise the designer’s vision for the site, the theme required some customisation—but this was easily achieved within the modest budget. The end result proved to be hit with both our designer client and their customer.
