Each member of the WP Engine team plays a vital role in fulfilling our mission to power confidence online.

From the support specialists who help with technical troubleshooting to the engineers who drive performance and innovation across our fully managed platform to the dozens of dedicated professionals providing support for our agency partners, it takes the combined effort of more than 1,000 individuals to keep WP Engine growing and thriving.

In our Meet the Experts series, we speak with the people who keep our engine humming along, exploring their roles, areas of expertise, and contributions to the company’s success.

In this interview, we speak with Jennah Yozze, an order-to-cash (O2C) operations specialist based outside of Chicago.

Say hello to Jennah!

Jennah is a proud mom with a passion for murder mystery novels and helping rescue animals. She’s also a vital member of WP Engine.

“I was drawn to WP Engine because of its amazing atmosphere and positive work environment, as well as the emphasis on a true work-family life balance,” Jennah says.

“I just love the culture, the people—there are some people here who are even crazier for animals than I am!”

When she’s not grooming a rescue pup or tending to her children, Jennah enjoys a quiet life in the suburbs outside Chicago.

“Living in the burbs strikes the right balance for me,” she says.

“The city is beautiful, but I prefer a quieter country life for the most part.”

WP Engine’s remote-first work environment makes it easy for Jennah to live and work where she wants, with lots of room to foster the rescue animals she loves so much!

Jennah’s career journey

Jennah was working full-time at another company when she found her way to WP Engine through a contracting position.

“I started off in a contracting role back in 2022, became a full-time member of the O2C team later that year, and then a specialist in 2023,” she says.

Because her job revolves around financials and payment processing, any operational hiccups can be extremely concerning—both internally and for our customers. Jennah and her team excel at quickly and effectively solving issues in the order-to-cash cycle.

“Order-to-cash involves everything: ordering, troubleshooting, billing inquiries, assisting customers, taking and applying payments, and a little bit of everything in between,” Jennah says.

“Sometimes it takes multiple levels of expertise on different teams to get a task done properly, whether it be engineering, order entry, support, or even leadership. I try to help better connect each team so we can work together toward our goal: to help the customer.”

When asked which of WP Engine’s Core Values resonates most with her, Jennah’s response came quickly.

“Customer Inspired. I have the best intentions for our customers in mind from start to finish and do what I can to get the job done right, both by the customer and the company,” she says.

“I’ve learned in my career and life to always, always be kind. Kindness can make a huge difference in any interaction.”

Words of wisdom: Growth is a long game

Jennah’s experience leaving a full-time position to become a contractor at WP Engine has provided her with a unique perspective on achieving professional growth.

“The ability to work with some incredibly amazing people in a cutting-edge technology industry was something I couldn’t pass up,” she says.

“So I did the work: reading articles, attending online seminars, asking my peers questions (sometimes multiple times about the same thing), and taking classes. Plus, I believe a positive attitude can go a long way.”

Reflecting on her career path, Jennah’s responses continually underscore the power and importance of positivity. So, when asked what her advice would be to aspiring experts in her field, it makes sense that her answer would be empathetic and optimistic.

“Everyone makes mistakes, and learning new things takes time,” says Jennah.

“Be patient with yourself and remember that the quality of your work is more important than the speed at which you get it done.”

As Jennah puts it, “A positive attitude can make processes so much easier, and I’m always down for a Zoom to help explain something or learn how to make it better.”
