This week, WP Engine hosted its second biannual All Hands event of 2019. All Hands is a two-day event at WP Engine, in which employees from all of our offices and teams around the country get the chance to come together, collaborate, and strategize with one another in and around our headquarters in Austin, TX.
Events on the agenda included team lunches, information sessions, team happy hours, and an after-party. Here are some photos from the past week’s various events.
In a typical All Hands keynote session, employees are provided with a deep dive into the company’s performance metrics to-date, as well as new areas of focus moving forward. These sessions are great opportunities for the entire WP Engine team to come together and hear more about high-level strategy from the company’s leadership.
Engine for Good is a WP Engine initiative that was launched in June 2019, with the overarching goal of advancing the company’s global impact and its stewardship for a positive future. The program focuses on three pillars: Open Future (WordPress), Open Doors (Diversity and Inclusion) and Open Hearts (Give Back).
Every All Hands event typically wraps up with a company-wide photo. This year, WP Engine employees gathered on the lawn in front of Fair Ground in downtown Austin, as it was one of the only nearby locations that could fit our rapidly-expanding team.
After every All Hands, WP Engine hosts a party for employees to give everyone a chance to unwind, relax, and enjoy some good food and drink. This year was no exception, as employees gathered at The Line Hotel’s Topaz Ballroom in downtown Austin.
