WDS-BT is a modern WordPress block theme developed by WebDevStudios. It is designed to offer a streamlined and flexible approach to website customization. A key feature of WDS-BT is its integration with WordPress Block Patterns. These pre-designed layouts contain multiple blocks that can be easily inserted into your posts or pages. They provide a helpful starting point for creating complex designs, allowing you to bypass the need to build each section from scratch. Block Patterns are highly adaptable, enabling you to modify content, styles, and arrangements to fit your unique requirements. Combining the new branding we created for Jewel Staite with the streamlined experience provided by WDS BT, we developed a website redesign that delivered a more modern and cohesive frontend design. The backend editorial process is simple and user-friendly, while the frontend look complements Jewel Staite’s acclaim, prestige, and public perception.

Editing content was extremely time-intensive for USA Clay Target’s editorial team, as their 72 WordPress websites required individual manual updates. As part of re-platforming USA Clay Target to a WordPress Multisite environment, our team custom-built a single content hub, the organization’s corporate website, to broadcast syndicated content to its subsites. This syndication process allows editors to write and publish the content once and have it appear on multiple websites without manual intervention. USA Clay Target’s new content hub within its WordPress Multisite Network is a powerful tool for content management, distribution, and collaboration, enabling efficient content sharing and synergy among its interconnected websites.

This project included a manual migration from a 20-year-old Django code base that was not up to industry standards. WebDevStudios migrated Gfmag.com, and it is now powered by modernized code, the WordPress Block Editor, and ACF Blocks in a cohesive and modern frontend. The overall user experience was also enhanced with intuitive navigation, faster load times, and responsive design while still incorporating paid ads and sponsored content.
