The Challenge

Stymied by a lack of flexibility with its existing Drupal site, CentralSquare approached WP Engine Agency Partner Wpromote for help empowering internal stakeholders without sacrificing website performance.

The Solution

WP Engine Atlas provides a clear path for CentralSquare to relaunch its site as a headless build. The new, decoupled architecture allows CentralSquare’s internal teams to improve workflows and manage content more efficiently while providing significant performance improvements.


The Results

CentralSquare’s new site has seen speed and other performance indicators improve across the board.

Most notably, the site’s PageSpeed Insights scores have improved by more than 200% on mobile, jumping from 29 to 94. On Desktop, scores improved by more than 30% to achieve a perfect score of 100, reflecting drastic improvements to Core Web Vitals and other page experience metrics.

In addition to flexibility and speed, the new site has also reduced operating expenses. This is due in large part to the way the new architecture enables CentralSquare's internal teams to quickly create landing pages without additional engineering or developer support.

Relaunching as a headless site also provided CentralSquare with the ability to define, design, and deploy discrete user journeys for its different target audiences, resulting in improved messaging and an increase in lead generation.

The new site has also led to:
